About Janta Se Rishta

Janta Se Rishta runs a network of accredited field reporters who gather news from towns, blocks and villages across our coverage area and file it to the editorial desk. This portal is the place where that relationship is managed: accreditation, identity documents, press ID cards, story submissions and the money earned from published work.

What this portal does

  • Accepts and verifies applications from people who want to report for us.
  • Issues a unique Reporter ID and a digital press ID card that anyone can verify.
  • Receives news, photographs and video from reporters in the field.
  • Gives editors a workspace to review, edit and prepare each story.
  • Records the revenue earned from published stories and each reporter's commission.

What it does not do

This portal is not our news website. Stories filed here are edited by our desk and then published on our main news website, which is a separate system. The published link is recorded back here so reporters can see where their work appeared.

Editorial standards

Accreditation is a responsibility, not a privilege. Reporters are expected to verify what they report, to identify themselves honestly, to respect the privacy of the people they write about, and never to use the press card for personal advantage. Misuse leads to suspension of the card and, where warranted, to legal action.

Contact

Questions about accreditation, payments or a story you filed can go to our office — the details are on the contact page.
